Start Teaching English in the Czech Republic in Just 4 Weeks

The Czech Republic is one of the most popular and accessible places in Europe to teach English. There’s steady demand for teachers, a high quality of life, and a relatively low cost of living compared to much of Europe.

You can teach in Prague itself, a stunning and walkable city full of Gothic architecture, cobbled streets, parks, and a thriving café and cultural scene. It’s easy to get around, safe, and home to a welcoming community of English teachers, expats, and locals alike.

There are also teaching opportunities in other cities and towns such as Brno, Plzeň, and České Budějovice.

The TEFL course runs full-time for four weeks in Prague. You’ll finish with an internationally accredited certificate, over 14 hours of hands-on teaching practice, and the confidence to step into your first teaching role in the Czech Republic or beyond.

After the course, many graduates stay in Prague and quickly find work with private language schools, companies, preschools, or private students. Some choose to teach in other cities across the Czech Republic, while others go on to teach online or further afield.

Being in-country gives you an advantge when it comes to finding work, as most schools in the Czech Republic prefer to hire teachers who are already local and available for in-person interviews. With job support starting during the course, many graduates secure positions within a few weeks of finishing the program.
