More about us
What we believe
We believe that everyone has the potential to teach, to challenge themselves, and to make a difference in the lives of others, and that TEFL gives you an unparalleled opportunity to do just that. We believe it's one of the most rewarding careers you can choose.
How we work
We provide online, in-person and hybrid TEFL courses.
For our in-person and hybrid courses, we partner with the highest quality TEFL course centres around the world. We meticulously select these centres based on our 20 years of experience, taking the guesswork out of the equation for you. If a centre doesn't meet the standards we know are essential, we don't work with them.
By enrolling through School of TEFL, you gain access to all the benefits provided by our partner centres, along with our experience and some exclusive advantages that we offer.
Our commitment to you
We're fanatically committed to offering you the best TEFL course experience we possibly can. We work hard to ensure that you receive exceptional quality training from instructors who are passionate about TEFL and dedicated to your success.
Our experience
We have over two decades of experience in TEFL - teaching in schools and online, training and mentoring other teachers and travelling the world. We have firsthand knowledge of the rewards and challenges of taking a TEFL course and living and working abroad.
We're also responsible for Eslbase, a trusted TEFL resource site used by thousands of teachers every day.
Our charity support
In 2025, we’re supporting Room to Read, a charity dedicated to improving literacy and gender equality in education for children in low-income communities.
For every TEFL course we sell in 2025, we’re donating £5 to Room to Read via Work for Good.
Meet our founder
Keith Taylor
I started out in TEFL in Indonesia in 1999. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to teach, run language schools, and train other teachers, in Australia, Morocco, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, and now the UK. I'm Cambridge Delta qualified.
Two memorable TEFL moments... My very first lesson was on the edge of the Indonesian jungle, on a stage with a microphone in front of 120 students. And I once taught a member of the Moroccan Royal Family - I had to pass through armed guards to get into the house!
TEFL has allowed me to meet, work with and be inspired by amazing people from all over the world, and I wouldn't change a minute of it!
